The Stables
An enclosed patch of farmland surrounded by sheds and stables about five acres square. Students who qualify for advanced animal husbandry programs learn how to farm insects and grow crops here. The sheds are maintained by the students in exchange for complete freedom from supervision. Many students will attempt to place into the animal husbandry programs not only for the prestige and recognition but also because it is a poorly-kept secret that many of the students use the land to grow restricted or illegal crops. A patch of picnic tables made out of recycled plastic criss-cross a corner of the stables and is a designated smoking spot.
