Throughout the Beastars manga, we've seen multiple arcs in which carnivores become infatuated with herbivores and attempt to commit predation. However, Gosha's arc is the only character arc featuring a venomous reptile starting a family with a non-venomous animal.
Gosha's wife isn't present throughout any of the events of Leno's character arc, including the funeral, or any of the evens of the manga thereafter so it's safe to assume that Gosha's wife is dead. The information that we get regarding venomous reptiles and interspecial marriage is all we get regarding Gosha's wife, she doesn't even have a name.
The only evidence that may suggest that Legosi's grandmother died of other causes is this genealogical chart drawn up my Legosi, which shows "Grandma" with what could be interpreted as bags under her eyes. Grandpa may look younger, but reptiles canonically age slower than other animals [citation needed].
